Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Crystal Reports Consultant to support a large-scale reporting remediation initiative associated with a system migration project. This remot contract role offers an opportunity to leverage reporting, database, and troubleshooting expertise to ensure business-critical reports are successfully transitioned, validated, and optimized within a new application environment.

Responsibilities

  • Update, modify, and remediate existing Crystal Reports as part of a large-scale system migration effort.
  • Analyze and update report data sources, data mappings, and database connections.
  • Validate report functionality, accuracy, and performance following migration activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve report issues resulting from application, database, or infrastructure changes.
  • Develop new Crystal Reports as needed to support business requirements.
  • Work closely with technical and business teams to identify reporting requirements and ensure successful report delivery.
  • Perform impact analysis related to database and system changes affecting existing reports.
  • Support testing, quality assurance, and user validation efforts throughout the migration process.
  • Document report modifications, troubleshooting activities, and technical solutions.
  • Assist in identifying reporting improvements and optimization opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience developing, modifying, and supporting Crystal Reports.
  • Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and remediating existing reporting solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working directly with databases and report data sources.
  • Experience updating report logic, parameters, formulas, and data mappings.
  • Experience supporting report migrations, system upgrades, or application modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with InterSystems Caché and/or InterSystems IRIS.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Healthcare, EMR, or clinical reporting experience is a plus.

The base range for this contract position is $45.00 - $55.00 per hour, depending on experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires across all U.S. locations. Individual compensation is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
