Job Description
Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Project Manager who enjoys leading complex technology initiatives, partnering with stakeholders to solve business challenges, and driving successful outcomes across large-scale enterprise systems. This contract role offers the opportunity to support critical child support system initiatives while serving as a key liaison between business and technical teams on multi-year projects.
Location: Wisconsin Residents Only (90-100% Remote)
Candidates must currently reside in Wisconsin or be willing to relocate within 30 days of the start date at their own expense. Occasional onsite attendance may be required with advance notice.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multiple projects using Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies.
- Manage project plans, timelines, risks, issues, resources, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and project sponsors.
- Gather, analyze, document, and manage business and technical requirements.
- Develop detailed work plans, status reports, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, communication plans, and project documentation.
- Support PMO activities including backlog management, action item tracking, resource allocation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform systems analysis, design review, estimation, testing coordination, and implementation planning.
- Lead and support Unit Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with development teams supporting large-scale mainframe and web-based applications.
- Ensure compliance with project governance, reporting requirements, and development standards.
- Facilitate communication across technical and business teams to remove obstacles and ensure project success.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience working with business stakeholders to document requirements, business processes, analysis, and design deliverables.
- 15+ years of experience supporting Unit Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Experience leading project teams, assigning work, tracking deliverables, and managing project resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 12+ years of experience creating technical documentation, business documentation, and project artifacts.
- 10+ years of experience using SQL, SPUFI, Platinum, File Manager, Debugger, QMF, or similar data analysis and support tools.
- Experience supporting all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience managing large-scale application development projects involving both mainframe and web-based technologies.
- Experience with COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, SAS, Microsoft .NET, and related enterprise technologies.
- Experience using project management and work management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar solutions.
- Strong understanding of systems analysis, software development methodologies, project management principles, and PMO practices.
- Experience documenting risks, developing mitigation plans, and managing issue resolution.
- Experience creating and maintaining detailed project plans and work schedules.
- Strong analytical, organizational, facilitation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple initiatives in a complex environment.
- Experience supporting projects with state and federal reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of child support system certification processes is preferred.
- Experience executing and documenting IV-D certification testing is a plus.
The base range for this contract position is $50.00 - $60.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
