Location: Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid Preferred) or Remote (Eastern Time Zone Hours)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise ETL/ELT solutions using IBM DataStage.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architectures.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable data integration solutions.
- Develop reusable ETL frameworks, parameterized jobs, and metadata-driven solutions.
- Integrate data from Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Snowflake, flat files, XML, JSON, Parquet, and cloud storage platforms.
- Implement data extraction, transformation, validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and loading processes.
- Design and develop cloud-native data pipelines and support migration of on-premises data to Snowflake.
- Create and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation, scheduling, monitoring, and operational support.
- Optimize ETL processes, Snowflake workloads, and data movement performance.
- Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting, production support, and incident resolution.
- Support Agile development practices, source control, and CI/CD processes.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise data integration solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage 11.7 or later, including Parallel Jobs, Sequencers, Parameter Sets, Job Administration, Monitoring, and Performance Tuning.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
- Strong experience with Oracle and DB2 databases.
- Experience building and supporting large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong Unix/Linux shell scripting experience.
- Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Snowflake, including Streams & Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Secure Views, Internal & External Stages, Data Sharing, and performance optimization.
- Experience migrating data from on-premises environments to Snowflake.
- Knowledge of Change Data Capture (CDC) and incremental data processing techniques.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience supporting payments, financial services, or other high-volume transactional environments.
- Experience optimizing enterprise-scale data integration and reporting platforms.
The base range for this contract position is $60.00 - $70.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
