Job Description

Codeworks, a LRS Company, is see aking an experienced Network & Facilities Systems Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity. This role offers a unique blend of networking, surveillance, server administration, and facilities technology, supporting mission-critical systems across more than 200 locations.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working independently, and supporting a diverse range of technologies including network infrastructure, video surveillance, web filtering, and facilities-based systems. This position requires strong troubleshooting abilities, adaptability, and a willingness to travel throughout the state to support critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and support statewide network infrastructure, servers, workstations, and related technology systems.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Cisco networking equipment, including routers and switches.
  • Support web filtering and network security solutions using Palo Alto and Zscaler technologies.
  • Maintain and support video surveillance systems, including associated servers, storage, workstations, and network components.
  • Assist with the design, planning, implementation, and support of facilities-based systems, including surveillance, access control, building automation, and telecommunications.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement resolutions to maintain system reliability and security.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, inventory records, and operational procedures.
  • Provide project tracking, status reporting, and documentation updates for infrastructure-related initiatives.
  • Support technology deployments and upgrades at locations throughout the state.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to support operational and project objectives.
  • Provide strategic input on infrastructure planning, system improvements, and future technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 10+ years of experience supporting network infrastructure, surveillance systems, servers, or related enterprise technologies.
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routers and switches (3+ years preferred).
  • Experience supporting web filtering and network security solutions, including Palo Alto and/or Zscaler (1-2+ years preferred).
  • Experience supporting video surveillance systems, including network, server, workstation, and storage components (1-2+ years preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to support statewide locations.
The base range for this contract position is $35.00- $45.00  per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
