Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking an Azure SysOps Architect to help design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure Azure-based environments for a contract position. This role focuses on infrastructure as code, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support reliable and efficient cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operate Azure infrastructure using Bicep (Infrastructure as Code).

  • Maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure platforms.

  • Support cloud cost optimization efforts and capacity planning initiatives.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide advanced-level support for critical infrastructure services.

  • Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure and cloud-related issues.

  • Develop and enhance automation for monitoring, alerting, and remediation processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on delivery approaches and shared goals.

  • Support Azure DevOps governance for infrastructure projects, including workflow and agile practices.

  • Create technical assessments and documentation that uphold organizational standards and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Deploy and maintain Bicep templates and related infrastructure components.

  • Build and deploy containerized workloads, including managing scaling, upgrades, and patching activities.

  • Identify and resolve issues affecting production environments.

  • Implement automation for patching, security improvements, and system updates.

  • Develop consistent environment build processes across development, testing, staging, and production environments.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues across development, QA, staging, and production Azure resources.



The base range for this contract position is $80.00 -$110.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
