Our client is looking for an experienced Data Architect to support the design and delivery of large-scale data modernization initiatives, with a primary focus on migrating ETL processes from legacy systems to modern data platforms. This role emphasizes technical expertise, collaborative problem-solving, and thoughtful leadership to help teams design scalable, efficient, and adaptable data architectures that support evolving organizational needs.

  • Develop and support automation strategies to streamline data workflows, deployment processes, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data architecture solutions.
  • Help ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across data platforms.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in data architecture approaches, including the adoption of modern tools, patterns, and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of database systems (relational and/or NoSQL) and data modeling principles.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, or migrating ETL processes from legacy systems.
  • Hands-on experience with modern ETL or data integration tools and frameworks, including cloud-native or distributed data processing solutions.
  • Experience supporting large-scale data processing and performance optimization.
  • Experience developing or applying data architecture frameworks and standards.
  • Working knowledge of automation, orchestration, and CI/CD practices in data environments.
  • Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and contribute to informed decision-making in complex environments.
