Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking an Investment Operations Senior Specialist to support one of our valued client partners for a contract position. 

Our client is seeking an Investment Operations Senior Specialist. This role contributes to accurate transaction processing, data integrity, and high‑quality operational support across a broad range of investment asset classes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute transactions accurately and efficiently across all asset classes within PI, MSA, NMC, and NMRE's public and private managed portfolios.
    (Asset classes include domestic securities, fixed income, equities, derivatives, foreign investments, private placements, real estate equity, and mortgage loans.)
  • Work collaboratively with bank representatives, brokers, traders, and front‑office teams to support timely trade settlement.
  • Respond to inquiries related to investment activity and holdings in a clear and professional manner.
  • Maintain investment data for complex security types, perform reconciliations, and partner closely with Managed Investments teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate investment positions, commitment reporting, and critical investment data updates.
  • Investigate and resolve cash receivable and payable exceptions. Identify and address standard and moderately complex issues.
  • Conduct analysis of investment holdings, trading activity, and operational initiatives when requested by business partners.
  • Support onboarding and provide guidance to new team members. Serve as a resource for assigned investment types and related processes.
  • Stay current on industry standards, operational changes, and regulatory developments that may impact workflows or processes.
    Contribute to business process improvements, new initiatives, workflow updates, and system enhancements. Participate in projects and upgrades; may take a lead role in areas of expertise
  • Review and interpret legal documents to ensure adherence to contractual terms and amendments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, management, real estate, information systems, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in investment operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of multiple investment asset types and transaction processes.
  • Experience with investment operations systems and accounting platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
The base range for this contract position is $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
