Job Description
The Data Warehouse Developer III will design, develop, test, and implement ETL solutions using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). This role supports scalable, secure data pipelines, metadata management, data quality, and continuous optimization within a data warehouse environment. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into well‑architected data integration solutions following enterprise best practices.
This role typically requires 4+ years of experience, including 3+ years of hands‑on IDMC work.
Primary Responsibilities
Data Integration & ETL Development
- Develop and maintain ETL solutions using Informatica IDMC, including Taskflows, Mappings, parameterization, and reusable transformations.
- Build secure, optimized data pipelines and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across environments.
- Support migrations, including PowerCenter → IDMC modernization efforts.
- Perform performance tuning for ETL workflows, SQL queries, and database operations.
Collaboration & Requirements
- Work with business and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into detailed ETL mapping and design specifications.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data warehousing standards, security requirements, and privacy regulations.
- Participate in meetings, provide updates, and support solution planning and refinement.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop test plans, test cases, test procedures, and document results.
- Identify defects and partner with teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Support SDLC activities including system testing, integration testing, and validation.
Documentation & Operational Support
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation for processes, mappings, and workflows.
- Assist with troubleshooting ETL failures and performance bottlenecks.
- Support metadata management, data repository updates, and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills & Experience- Approx. 4+ years, or equivalent experience
- Experience designing, developing, and optimizing data warehousing solutions using Informatica IDMC.
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data integration methodologies.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server.
- Experience with Control‑M or similar job‑scheduling/automation tools.
- Experience working with relational and dimensional data models.
- Experience with slowly changing dimensions and common data warehousing patterns.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve ETL and query performance issues.
- Strong communication skills, including facilitating discussions with technical and business users.
- Knowledge of SDLC processes and project methodologies (planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, support).
- Ability to collaborate effectively in large, cross‑functional organizations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently while providing timely updates to leadership.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Visio, Outlook, and Jira.
