Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Web Developer for a Contract opportunity. Bring your WordPress, UX, and accessibility expertise to help shape an inclusive, user‑centered web experience for one of our client partners.


Seeking a Senior Web Developer to lead the design, development, layout, and coding of a new website. This role will shape the overall user experience for students, faculty, staff, clients, and community partners. The Senior Web Developer will support digital strategy initiatives and serve as a subject‑matter expert on web design, accessibility, and user‑centered layout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to website strategy and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop and design website navigation, page layouts, and graphic elements that work effectively across devices, screen sizes, and browsers.
  • Ensure all design and code solutions align with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2), brand guidelines, and technical constraints.
  • Implement digital media strategies, priorities, and best practices in collaboration with leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • Evaluate and implement open‑source and commercial tools to meet project requirements.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert and primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding web design, content options, maintenance, and technical support.
  • Three or more years of experience designing and developing complex, accessible websites using WordPress, following branding standards and WCAG 2.2 accessibility guidelines.
  • Three or more years of experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders to plan and deliver strategic website projects on defined timelines.
  • Three or more years of experience applying graphic design principles to develop engaging, user‑friendly web experiences.
The base range for this contract position is $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
