Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Report Developer for a contract opportunity. If turning complex data into clear, powerful insights is your superpower, this role gives you the chance to support meaningful analytics work for one of our client partners.


This role involves analyzing complex datasets, developing actionable insights, and building interactive dashboards using Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, Crystal Reports, and BI Query. The position also includes designing and optimizing cloud‑native data and AI solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and real‑time data processing.

The position requires strong data analysis skills, proficiency with reporting and visualization tools, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable, effective data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights for business and technical stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, and Crystal Reports.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data extraction and transformation.
  • Create and refine queries using Hummingbird BI Query to support business intelligence needs.
  • Design and implement end‑to‑end data pipelines using AWS services such as Amazon S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, and SageMaker.
  • Build and optimize cloud‑native data and AI platforms to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
  • Develop reliable ETL/ELT workflows ensuring data quality, governance, and security.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams—including data architects, analysts, and developers—to align reporting and data solutions with organizational goals.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with MDHHS policies.
  • Provide technical expertise in reporting tools and support troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Document processes, data flows, and standards for ongoing use and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in report development and data analysis in large‑scale environments.
  • 3+ years of experience in AI data engineering using AWS platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python, PySpark, and advanced data structures.
  • 3+ years of experience with Teradata Data Warehouse and ETL utilities.
  • Experience with AWS cloud and AI platforms.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Hummingbird BI/Query, SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Experience creating dashboards with strong knowledge of data visualization best practices.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and data warehouse concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting healthcare‑related or Medicaid reporting.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for BI tools.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrating them with Teradata.
  • Ability to design and maintain modern data architectures for analytics and machine learning.
  • Familiarity with BI/reporting tools across multiple platforms.
  • Exposure to Agile or DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
The base range for this contract position is $55.00 - $70.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
