Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Programmer .NET for a Contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to apply your technical expertise in support of meaningful development work for one of our client partners.

The Programmer .NET role performs specialized programming and technical work for website and application development in a collaborative environment. Work is completed using industry‑standard technologies, established development practices, and modern project methodologies. This position operates with limited supervision and supports independent decision‑making within defined guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with advanced principles, practices, and methodologies used in the design and development of web‑based and standalone software applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within Agile, traditional, or hybrid project environments.
  • Participate in project review meetings and workgroups to support planning and progress tracking.
  • Partner with Business Analysts to prepare information for review boards, sponsors, and technical teams, including presenting clarifications and answering questions.
  • Create, update, and maintain systems documentation, such as system specifications and functional requirements.
  • Develop technical models, data design specifications, and data elements aligned with application needs.
  • Design and develop software based on reusable components, approved architecture, and applicable security and policy standards.
  • Identify and remediate application‑level security vulnerabilities promptly.
  • Participate in structured walkthroughs, code reviews, and quality checkpoints.
  • Follow configuration and change‑management processes as defined by the development team 
  • Support project documentation requirements using SUITE standards for both Agile and traditional methodologies.
  • Perform unit, string, and integrated testing to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Develop system‑level test scripts, test plans, and test cases.
  • Document issues, analyze root causes, and prepare root‑cause analysis reports.
  • Develop user documentation and provide training when needed.
  • Assess requests for enhancements or modifications and evaluate their impact on existing systems.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
The base range for this contract position is $40.00 - $48.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
