Job Description

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Project Manager for a contract opportunity. If you enjoy steering complex projects, aligning diverse teams, and keeping everything moving in the right direction, this role offers a great opportunity to support meaningful initiatives for one of our client partners.

This position provides leadership, oversight, and project management support for large, strategic initiatives with high visibility at the Agency Executive level. These projects require a dedicated project manager due to their complexity, level of detail, scope, and coordination requirements. Strategic initiatives typically include diverse stakeholder groups, vendor involvement, cross‑system integration, and multi‑year timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and monitor project‑control practices to maintain awareness of changes to project cost, quality, or schedule.
  • Lead project planning, resource coordination, and reporting to support successful project completion in alignment with SUITE methodology and agency priorities.
  • Direct and coordinate day‑to‑day project activities, tasks, and deliverables according to the project plan.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, concepts, and best practices.
  • Understanding of system development methods for new and existing information systems.
  • Knowledge of data communications and information systems technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, including within matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Ability to clearly communicate needs, gather information, analyze facts, define challenges, and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to conduct training or informational sessions as needed.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions, build alignment, and support decision‑making.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships and support effective issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of data infrastructure and governance practices.
  • Experience working in government or public‑sector environments is beneficial.
  • Experience across multiple relevant roles (e.g., project manager, program manager, coordinator) is advantageous.

The base range for this contract position is $60.00 - $75.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
