Job Description
Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Systems Administrator III for a Contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to apply your technical expertise in support of meaningful infrastructure work for one of our client partners.
Our client is seeking a Systems Administrator III to support and maintain our enterprise server infrastructure. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server hardware, operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage, and related system software. You will collaborate with technical teams, agency partners, and IT leadership to ensure secure, stable, and high‑performing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and update enterprise server systems, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware), and backup/recovery tools
- Troubleshoot server, storage, and system software issues
- Monitor performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost‑effectiveness
- Support security practices, compliance requirements, and disaster recovery documentation and testing
- Provide technical consulting to agency partners on shared infrastructure needs
- Participate in infrastructure projects and follow established project management practices
- Maintain clear communication with customers and team members, ensuring strong service and collaboration
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with server hardware, Windows/Linux operating systems, virtualization tools, and enterprise storage
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, GPOs)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and SaaS solutions
- Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non‑technical teams
- Understanding of IT service delivery, system security, and disaster recovery best practices
