LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Sr. Agile Project Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Central Illinois! As a Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master within the Strategy Realization Office you will work on company driven projects and/or leading and guiding strategic teams. In the role, you'll serve as the servant leader for your team(s) by ensuring clear communication, driving the appropriate Agile or Waterfall methodology focused on predictable, quality delivery and driving continuous improvement of the team. You will be responsible for a project team with timelines, milestones, deliverables and budget tracking.

Essential Functions:
  • Coach and mentor the organization to facilitate adoption and maturity of Agile and/or Waterfall practices within the SRO defined processes
  • Coaches team to self-organize
  • Own PMLC processes from conception to implementation in moving products / projects into production
  • Take responsibility for successful product delivery with strong partnership with the product owners
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of technology team members and actively solve problems for your team (end to end deployment)
  • Effective and clear communication with both business and technical resources, as well as throughout various levels in the organization
  • Skilled in predicting project outcomes and plan resources effectively to meet objectives.
  • Skilled in make quick, informed decisions to keep projects on track.
  • Manage productions releases for all milestones through the process
  • Manage key risks and mitigations, ensuring owners and plans are in place for resolution
  • Act as a leader to the product / project core ‘development’ team by recommending improvements and drive alignment across the innovation / strategic organization
  • Oversee design, implementation, QA, and validation of product (outcome)
  • Ensures team maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery of business value
  • Document progress and communicate to upper management and stakeholders
  • Actively seeks and participates in a variety of learning opportunities such as Communities of Practice, conferences, classroom training and independent study to further develop self and community
  • Must possess the ability to explain intricate and complicated concepts and ideas in a simplified manner
  • Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor product / project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing
  • Utilizes and grows business judgement to make sound decisions Soft Skills

  • Problem solving skills – seek out, research and experiment new technologies
  • Strong technical background a must
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with experience in working within teams, collaborative environment 
Qualifications:
  • Certifications a plus
  • Advanced CSM
  • CAC (Certified Agile Coach)
  • PMI’s Agile Certified Professional
  • PMP, Lean, Agile, Six Sigma certification
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Scrum Master
  • Experience in an insurance industry preferred
  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
  • Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer

The base range for this contract position is $60-90 per hour, depending on experience.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
