Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a SharePoint Developer for an exciting contract opportunity with a client of ours in Springfield, IL.

Job Summary:
  • The SharePoint Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, customizing, and maintaining SharePoint solutions to improve collaboration, document management, and workflow automation within the organization.
  • This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and end-users to gather requirements and deliver effective SharePoint-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and design SharePoint-based solutions that meet their needs. Create detailed technical specifications and architectural designs.
  • Development: Develop and customize SharePoint sites, applications, and workflows using SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and other development tools. Write and maintain code to enhance SharePoint functionality.
  • Customization: Customize SharePoint sites, templates, and web parts to align with organizational branding and usability standards. Implement custom solutions as needed to extend SharePoint's capabilities.
  • Integration: Integrate SharePoint with other systems and applications, such as Microsoft 365, CRM software, or external databases, to streamline data flow and improve efficiency.
  • Document Management: Configure document libraries, metadata, and versioning to facilitate efficient document management and retrieval.
  • Workflow Automation: Design and implement SharePoint workflows using tools like Microsoft Power Automate (formerly Flow) to automate business processes and approvals.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and teams to ensure they can effectively use SharePoint and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Security and Permissions: Manage SharePoint security and access controls, ensuring that data is appropriately protected, and users have the necessary permissions.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize SharePoint performance, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of SharePoint configurations, customizations, and solutions.
  • Upgrades and Maintenance: Stay current with SharePoint updates and patches, plan and execute SharePoint upgrades, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a SharePoint Developer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, configuration, and development.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and related development tools.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server editions.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration projects is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications like Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer are advantageous.

Colorado Pay Range:
20 - 125/per Hour
