LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Business Analyst for their Data Architecture group for a remote long-term contract opportunity with our client in the west suburbs of Chicago, IL!

The Business Analyst, Data Architecture will:

• Work with the Business to identify requirements and think critically about what will make it successful; write user stories that effectively communicate the Business’ requirements and that are easily consumed by software development teams.
• Attend and lead Business stakeholder meetings; provide project status reporting to management; assist with testing scenarios and validate results.
• Create deliverables such as process flows, data flows, use case diagrams and mockups to effectively communicate design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations.
• Advocate on behalf of Business to IT, and advocate on behalf of IT to Business.
• Serve as the functional expert on how we manage our data across multiple applications/databases and represent that back to the business in a way they can understand.
• Go beyond just reading and understanding information, to making sense of it, and finding patterns for improvement and applying analytical skills to deconstruct a complex problem.
• Support business applications. Troubleshoot and resolve applications issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Business Analysis with at least 7 years relevant IT experience overall. To include recent experience in Data Architecture or Master Data Management teams.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT, statistics, computer science, mathematics, information management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience defining and documenting business and functional requirements for ongoing system enhancement initiatives in agile software development environments.
• Demonstrated experience writing clear acceptance criteria to a testable level specifically for Services and Data Structures.
• Good understanding of relational databases, database structures and design, data management, and ETL tool.
• Good SQL knowledge, including experience writing investigative queries and solid conceptual understanding of joins and stored procedures.
• Experience leading or participating in Agile meetings including: sprint planning, sprint grooming, review, demo, stand-up, and retrospective sessions.
• Experience in all phases of product, software, and testing lifecycles.
• Strong investigative, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills

Colorado Pay Range:
20 - 125/per Hour
