Associate Project Manager - Business Transformation Group/Office of the US COOJob Description:
- Facilitate the planning and implementation of projects, define project tasks and resource requirements, and track the status of deliverables and any decisions made regarding scope changes and outstanding issues
- Monitor and track action items and decisions for workstreams/projects
- Schedule and lead project-related meetings and calls with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Regular engagement on projects involving regulatory reform planning and analysis, business growth strategy, business rationalization and cost savings, and other complex business analysis
- Preparation of regular status reports and presentations, requirements assessments, issue tracking/resolution and documentation
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to coordinate tasks in support of short- and long-term initiatives and goals of the team
- Provide analysis to monitor workstream milestone reports so that any impacts to schedule can be escalated as needed
- Create communication materials for multiple levels of stakeholders related to projects as well as senior management
- Represent Management or other team members on internal or external calls
- Key contributor to the overall BTG structure
- Uses appropriate discretion/judgement when handling confidential/sensitive information
- Document project constraints, assumptions and issues
- Define tasks & validate estimates
- Maintaining a project schedule
- Oversight of resource assignments and ongoing monitoring of the schedule
- Analyze and monitor milestone reports so that any issues can be escalated as needed
- Oversee reporting on the project schedule, perform assessments on the project schedule identifying potential risks/opportunities and recommends mitigating factors
- Assist in integrating and monitoring progress of 3rd party vendors plans as needed
- All functional groups
- Senior PMs within BTG regionally and globally
- Global Transformation Team members
- Business Managers within the Front Office
- Third party consultants
- Senior Management and Global leads
Basic Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree, focus in Finance or Management preferred
- General knowledge of end-to-end project management lifecycle
- 2+ years experience in financial services industry preferred
- A self-starter that can work with a small team or independently making an impactful contribution
- Excellent MS Office skills particularly in PowerPoint and Excel, and SharePoint
- Strong organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use them in multiple business, functional, and IT environments globally
- Flexibility and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to quickly and successfully navigate through a matrix organization
- Ability to effectively communicate project status updates to senior management and C-suite level stakeholders
- Familiarity with project management methodologies or project management related experience and/or PMP certification beneficial
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
- Financial services and/or consulting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of project governance and regulatory reporting
