Description
As part of the Enterprise Performance Management Team, you will be responsible for developing visualizations and dashboards for supporting the business performance of the nation’s leading operator of surgical facilities and ancillary services with presence in 180 locations and growing. The candidate we are looking for is a team player, passionate, collaborative, customer-centric and can meet product delivery timelines and expectations with accuracy and efficiency.
The successful candidate will be able to understand the business needs and develop business intelligence visualizations, dashboards that tell a story with adherence to standard SDLC practice. Conducting unit testing to ensure content and functionality matches requirements and data validation using SQL will be part of the candidate’s delivery methodology. Balancing quality of information with speed of delivery is the key for success in this role.
This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This role requires a service-oriented mentality, a high sense of ownership of the problems and requests assigned, a focus on managing and resolving issues in alignment with expectations, establishing and maintaining communication with IT data engineering team and proactively escalating any issues that cannot be resolved within the established timeframes. The BI Specialist must be capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

Job Description:
  • Using the BI tool Tableau deliver operational and analytical reporting solutions consistent with the vision and direction of the department’s Vice President, Enterprise Performance Management.
  • Analyze reporting requirements to determine if needed data already exists in the data warehouse environment or must be modeled or acquired.
  • Develop solutions using Tableau Prep and/or Python to work with not-perfect data sources to provide agile delivery of business intelligence products.
  • Design and implement access controls to protect data and dashboards (roles, rules, profiles, groups) used to enable decision-making for internal and external constituents.
  • Support development enhancements to existing business intelligence dashboards in Tableau maintaining integrity of content and data.
  • Maintain knowledge of Tableau upgrades in features and provide recommendations of potential business cases (e.g Tableau CRM).

Required Experience:
  •  Minimum 3 years of continuous, focused experience in the building, customizing and publishing of Tableau interactive dashboards, visualizations and stories.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive hands-on experience in SQL.
  • Experience in Python preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in building successful partnerships with business and technical groups.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, critical thinking and project management skills.

Colorado salary range - $20/hr to $125/hr
