LRS Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Desktop Tech for a client of ours based out of Kansas City.The Desktop Technician supports the organization?s day to day endpoint operations by managing incoming incidents and tasks, performing first level troubleshooting, and ensuring timely issue resolution. The role focuses on frontline stability for Windows endpoints and contributes to operational efficiency by identifying trends, escalating appropriately, and maintaining a consistent user experience across the enterprise.Responsibilities:? ? ? ? ? Incident & Task ManagementMonitor the Endpoint Architecture incident/task queue throughout the dayPerform first level triage, reach outs, and resolution for common endpoint issuesDocument troubleshooting steps, resolution details, and escalate issues as neededAssist with trend identification and recurring issue reporting to support continuous improvementEndpoint Support & OperationsMaintain Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android endpointsSupport onboarding tasks such as device setup, VPN configuration, and general access validationProvide support for endpoint issues including OS, applications, connectivity, and authenticationAssist users both onsite and remote through clear, professional communicationLifecycle & Deployment SupportParticipate in hardware and software lifecycle processes (device preparation, basic software deployment)Support quality assurance tasks for new builds or packages prepared by Desktop EngineeringPerform basic troubleshooting of deployments or updates (e.g., SCCM/MEM related issues)Required skills:1 year of experience as a Desktop TechExperience troubleshooting for Windows 10/11, MacOS, iOS, and Android devicesExperience supporting hardware issuesUnderstanding of network fundamentals (VPN, DNS, authentication, etc.)Experience with Microsoft 365 apps and common endpoint issuesAbility to manage and document tickets in an ITSM systemAbility to follow established processes, escalate appropriately, and support onboarding tasksThe base range for this contract position is $20? $25 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations.
